Mykonos

My boyfriend and I travelled to Mykonos, a Greek island, at the end of April. It was truly beautiful and we had the best time. The people were so friendly, the food amazing and we came home feeling thoroughly de-stressed.

We stayed at the Vencia Boutique hotel which we couldn’t fault at all, my favourite part was the infinity pool which had the best views! The beds were amazingly comfy, with a proper duvet which I love when you are abroad, the waterfall shower was amazing and the room had everything we could possibly need. There was a large selection at breakfast with freshly squeezed orange (my fave) and you could sit outside watching the sea which was a beautiful start to our days there. The staff were really helpful and friendly, I would definitely go back!

We also visited the 180 sunset bar at Castle Panigirakis which again, had breathtaking views and was a super special evening spent sharing a bottle of prosecco. The vibe was really relaxed and it made for some amazing photo’s, I would advise to go on a day when the sky is clear so that you can experience as amazing sunset as possible.

Our favourite beach we visited was Ornos beach as the water was beautifully clear and there were super comfy sun beds to relax on, we got the bus from Mykonos town and it cost us €4 for the two of us.

The views were so picturesque on the whole, and we had some amazing dinners too, some restaurants to recommend:

D’angelo for pizza 🍕

Captain’s for meze/ tapas (the gyros sharing board is amazing)

Kuzina– I had the sushi and it was incredible and my boyfriend had a chicken pasta which was also delicious

Scarpers bar on the water front is a great spot for watching the sunset and I recommend the pornstar martini 🍸

I would love love love to go back! It is the perfect romantic destination and there are so many places to choose to eat, we actually didn’t have one bad meal- they were all SO good. If we had stayed longer we would have liked to explore the rest of the island and take a boat trip to Delos.

Where are you traveling to next?
